eduCYBER Sàrl respects your privacy and handles personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy explains how we process information when you visit this website or contact us.

2. Data we process

  • Website and security data: IP address, date and time, requested pages, browser and device information, referring page, and security events recorded in server logs.
  • Communications: your name, email address, organisation, telephone number and message when you contact us, together with information needed to respond.
  • Language preference: your selected website language may be stored in a technically necessary cookie.

3. Why we process data

We process data to provide and secure the website, prevent abuse, respond to enquiries, prepare or perform services, meet legal obligations, and improve our operations. Depending on the situation, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure professional website, steps requested before entering into a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with law, or consent where required.

4. Hosting and service providers

The website is hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak Network SA. We use carefully selected technical providers only where necessary to operate, protect and maintain the website. Providers process data under appropriate contractual and security safeguards. We do not sell personal data.

The website uses Wordfence Security, provided by Defiant Inc., to detect malicious activity, prevent unauthorised access and protect the service. For these purposes, Wordfence may process IP addresses, request and browser information, login activity and other security events. Processing may involve service infrastructure outside Switzerland or the EEA; where required, appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses apply. Wordfence security cookies are treated as strictly necessary.

5. Cookies and external content

We currently use only cookies or similar storage that are necessary for website operation, security, administration and language choice. We do not currently use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies. If non-essential analytics, marketing tools or embedded third-party media are introduced, they will be disabled until you have made a consent choice where consent is legally required.

Links to LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, X/Twitter and Instagram take you to those providers. Their privacy policies apply after you follow a link. The website does not load their social feeds automatically.

6. International transfers

We aim to process website data in Switzerland or the European Economic Area. If a service provider processes data elsewhere, we use a recognised legal safeguard such as an adequacy decision or approved standard contractual clauses, together with appropriate technical and organisational measures.

7. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the stated purpose and applicable legal, contractual or security requirements. Routine enquiries are generally retained for up to 24 months after the last substantive contact unless a longer period is needed for a contract, legal claim or statutory retention duty. Technical logs are retained according to operational and security needs and the hosting provider’s schedules.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or data portability, and may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, where the GDPR applies, your competent EU or EEA supervisory authority.

9. Security and automated decisions

We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure. We do not use website data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

10. Changes

We may update this policy when our website, providers or legal obligations change. The current version and its update date will always appear on this page.
